I saw Bill at the Las Vegas Hilton on 1/16/10, which was my first time every seeing or hearing anything about you. I have not had television for 4 years and do not get involved in reality TV shows, etc. I was very impressed by your story, etc...the one thing that caught my attention negatively (twice) during your speech was in regards to your first business and you sold everything, even your car, to start the company. During your story, you mention driving your car, which doesn't make sense if you don't have one anymore. I am not saying that isn't how your story went, just letting you know how it sounds to your audience. I spoke to a few people after the show and they also picked up on the same thing. Thank you for taking time to share with us, and I thought I would share my feedback with you.

Thank you, Chris, and James for the powerful "Take Control of Your Life" presentation at the Hilton on Jan. 16th. I spoke to you about my nephew, Chris, in China who, since he was seven years old, was enthralled with you and the show, The Apprentice. Chris' Dad, my brother, David, has always found life energy from motivational speakers from Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Og Mandino, Robert Kiyosaki, Suze Orman to, especially, Dr. Robert Schuller. He actually has brought several of these people to China to share their ideas and is the Bejing representative for Dr. Schuller. Now, Chris has started his own inspirational list and you, Bill, are at the top of his list! I called Chris in China, immediately after returning from the show, and gave him your advice about a child in China and finding a career. Unfortunately, I misconstrued his question - he has your book, "Beyond the Lemonade Stand," and wanted to know what "job" you would suggest that he, as a child in China, start? When and where is your next "Take Control Tour?" Chris will be in the US (LA & Vegas) for the month of February and it would be super if he and his parents could attend the conference. I didn't see a tour schedule on that website. And, finally, my brother was most impressed that your last words in your presentation were from Dr. Schuller - "Tough times never last but tough people do!" Thank you - I share your ideas with my middle school students too!

Hi there! My husband and I own a Martial Arts and Character Development Studio in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that is a tremendous blessing to our community as well as our family. We would LOVE some advice how to run the “business” side of the business more effectively. Are there any opportunities on the We Mean Business show (that we, as small business owners, absolutely LOVE) or any other show that you appear on! We consider your advice to be very helpful! Wishing you blessings and joy in abundance, Kim Gunnlaugsson Karate Works karateworks.org 817-377-2111

Hello Bill, I doubt if you will remember me but I do seem to leave a lasting impression on people.(-: Besides, I did keep you on the phone with me for about an hour! It was the late 90's and I needed a gift for my boss. I heard your advertisment for "Cigars Around the World" and I knew that would be the perfect gift. Well, I want you to know that my boss loved it! He said, that was the best gift he ever got from anyone. He also told me that his wife never even bought him cigars. And for the following 6 months, he was like a kid waiting for the ice cream truck to come. He would get so excited when he opened a new box every month. If i'm not mistaken I think it was 5 cigars a month. I did however, talk you into throwing in a cigar cutter and I think a case. I'm always looking to make a deal somehow.(-: My boss was worth it. He did buy me a Cartier necklace and bracelet. Not bad for a secretary in an auto body repair shop in Brooklyn! But I deserved it. I practically ran that place. I've been in the buisiness for over 25 years now and know it like the back of my hand! Do I ring a bell in your head? If not, that's ok. I just wanted to let you know you've made my boss a happy man. P.S. Will you be speaking in N.Y. anytime soon? I'm towards the end of a 3 year divorce. I'm pro-se and my husband is a NYC Union Carpenter and we are now in the process of putting together the QDRO I was already awarded 50% of the marital portion and I think I may take it in one lump sum. There is also his annuity funds and some investments that i'm also entitled to. This stage of my divorce is no doubt, the hardest thing i've ever done. But I must be doing something right. I did beat my husband's lawyer on every issue we had except medical coverage. But i'm not giving up on that just yet. I have a little more digging to do. Besides, I knew I was doing something right when the judge called me into her chambers and said, "I want to know where your getting all your information from" I told her the www and the law library here in the courthouse. Her comment only boosted my confidence even more. Not bad for someone who didn't graduate H.S. I do however, have plenty of street smarts and know when someone is trying to pull a fast one on me!! I really hate divorce lawyers and I wish it was legal for me to help people with no money for a lawyer, fight for what they are entitled to. I would do it in a heartbeat. I do need some kind of direction on what to do with the money I will recieve from the divorce and have some ideas on what I'd like to do but not really sure yet. So Bill my friend I will def need your help in that area. I hope to see you in N.Y! Regards, Tina (Narrows Body Craftsmen) That's where you sent the cigars every month. Thanks again for that great idea!!

Ok I stand corrected, found the VIP seats for sale on this site, not the ticketmaster website. I am buying it now, can't wait to go. https://hilton-web.vegas.com/lvhilton/Take_Control.html Just what the doctor ordered! Perfect timing

I am so mad at myself, I favorited the original tweet and forgot about it until Bill RT it tonight! Now the VIP seats seem to be gone already. Chris Gardner is an amazing speaker with a great story and Bill is so motivational. Just what I needed right now. Hopefully more will open up soon so I can get the VIP seats for this event. A must attend event!

This sounds great. I am a huge fan of yours and Chris Gardiner. I've seen you both speak in the past and received invaluable guidance. My small business boomed from implementing yours and Chris's advice. I've never seen James speak, but he sounds very interesting. See you in Vegas. Regards, Chris
